French Mirepoix

Pretty tasty, as advertised. Very convenient. Really appreciate having something that isn't in plastic.

The 'French Mirepoix' from Lentiful is a very good product. The guys behind Lentiful are not fooling around and deliver a top-notch product with valuable nutrients. I will continue ordering. There are two issues that I want to address in this review, however.

1.- You may be in good terms with a Microwave, but I am not. It is very practical, but I still do not use one. I then rely on adding hot water to the container. There is a line inside the container, but it is barely visible. I do NOT add boiling water. What is the point of buying a nutritious product if you are going to kill the nutrients with hot water, I ask? I add water to a medium size sauce pan and I bring it up to a hot-enough temperature, then, I add the French Mirepoix. I leave the product in the sauce pan for 2 to 3 minutes. Results? Perfect.

2.- This is not a meal for a full grown man. It is perfect to keep that man going until he reaches a full size meal. Something that worked very well for me was to add some Spinach or Kale and a can of Mackerel whilst the French Mirepoix is still in the sauce pan. I end up with a super healthy and delicious meal that keeps me going for quite a while.

Alltogether, the 'French Mirepoix' from Lentiful is a wonderful product AND a valid solution for the single guy. Bon Appetit Monsieur!

My daughter is a college student and these soups are perfect. She loves French Mirepoix.
