I added a smidge of salt to this (you didn't have any of the regular when I first ordered) which improved it, but at the end of the day this is a little too much like a tomato stew with a lot of anise aftertaste that I find off-putting. Try the homemade chili or Mexican chili instead - they're much better.

Could go without the fennel seed
I was so excited to try this first of the 8 pack low sodium variety. Unfortunately, having never tried fennel seed before my first bite was uh, shocking. The fennel seeds make it a savory licorice flavor. Not my personal cup of tea...or lentils if you will. I think it would be amazing without the fennel seeds.

Solid lunch option!
The tomato bolognese is SO yummy and perfect for a quick lunch on the go. I added some salt and pepper and fresh parsley! After trying the variety pack I have to say this was a great contender but not quite my favorite flavor offered. I will still add it to my rotation!

Really good!
I love this bowl! It doesn't taste 'low sodium' or 'diety' at all-- it's rich and filling. Try making this in the microwave and then dumping it onto a bowl of noodles for a perfect dinner.
